Created using cyanotyping. When I first heard the word souvenir, my mind went to the Hawaiian girl figurine that I purchased two summers ago during a family trip to Hawaii. I placed the souvenir in my car, and I see her everyday. This souvenir conjures up joyful thoughts because I enjoyed experiencing the uniqueness of Hawaii. I was drawn to the detail of the figurine and thought it was representative of the culture and people of Hawaii. Her presence within the print leaves of Hawaii gives a whimsical feel and combines the beauty of human life and nature.
